The Nikelab Sock Dart Mid x Stone Island
Nike has been in the innovation lab working on some major collaborations. Acronym, Supreme, Ricardo Tisci, Kim Jones and Stone Island have all worked with the brand this past year.
The most recent partnership comes from the UK brand, Stone Island. Stone Island has collaborated with Nike on tech-infused jackets and boots, but now they've shifted their focus to the Nike Sock Dart.
The Nike Sock Dart has become a collector's item over the years. Nike released the Sock Dart in a 2004 and had an even wider release in 2016. Now, in collaboration with Stone Island, the shoe enters a new stage of reinvention.
It’s the first time the Sock Dart has been done in mid cut, and made water-resistant — thanks to a silicon print on the upper, created through Stone Island's firsthand experimentation with Nike’s sandwich mesh fabric in Italy.
The NikeLab Sock Dart Mid x Stone Island is available January 26.
