NikeLab Air Max Vision-AIRS featuring Riccardo Tisci & Marc Newson

Nike Air Vapormax x Marc Newson | NikeLab | $275

Over the last few weeks, Nike has been preparing for the 30th anniversary of the Air Max. March 26th marks the day when Nike pioneered a new shoe. The Air Max has been redesigns countless times over the years. The swoosh is preparing to release an abundance of different Air Max styles in under 2 weeks. As the week's countdown, more and more models have been revealed.

Now, with the 30th anniversary of Air Max on the horizon, NikeLab highlights visionaries representing architecture, design, style and art to reimagine Nike Air. Marc Newson, Riccardo Tisci and Arthur Huang — each a leader in their respective field — elevate aspects of different Air Max icons, from the Air Max 1 to the all-new Nike Air VaporMax, in their own distinctive ways.

This year, Nike has been aggressively releasing new and OG products, in an effort to increase revenues. The Oregon-based company is looking to increase their digital footprint with the increased interest of consumers shopping online. This initiative means more products and services for consumers. Nike's main rival, Adidas has been putting presusre on the brand with its partnerships and creative strategies.

NikeLab Air Max 97 x R.T. | $200

NikeLab has partnered with Riccardo Tisci once again to reimagine the Air Max 97.  The updated Nike Air Max 97 gets an elevated mid-cut that draws simultaneously from Tisci’s Italian couture influences and streetstyle background. A concealed zip pocket on the tongue gives the shoe some added functionality, while a translucent milky white outsole creates a stunning contrast with the runway-inspired tumbled synthetic leather and synthetic suede underlays of the upper.

The Air Max 97 Silver Bullet is a cult-classic in Italy.
